Microdermabrasion

Do you ever wish you could wave a magic wand over your face and poof - your sun damage, scars, blotchiness or lines would be reduced? Microdermabrasion (micro-resurfacing) uses a diamond particle tipped wand and mild suction to mechanically slough the outer layers of the epidermis. It is a quick route to soft, smooth, even-toned, glowing skin and increases product absorption significantly.

Microdermabrasion can be included as an alternative to an acid peel in your Peter Thomas Roth Custom Facial at no extra cost. You don't have to decide before booking, we can discuss your best options at your appointment.

Microdermabrasion
  • Is it good for rosacea and very sensitive skin?
Nope. You and your skin won't love this one. I recommend a lactic acid peel instead.
  • Is Microdermabrasion better than an acid peel?
No, it's just different. Microdermabrasion is a manual sloughing of the surface skin whereas acids break down what holds together dead skin cells and/or sebum. If you have a lot of clogged pores and pimples acid peels will serve you better. If you have a rough texture and dullness you will love micro. For wrinkles and hyperpigmentation or malasma, both will be excellent and you could consider alternating.
  • Does it hurt?
No. It feels like being licked by a kitten. It's a bit weird at first, not painful.
  • Will it make me more sun sensitive?
Yes, we are removing the outer surface of the epidermis. Wear SPF 30 or higher and a hat for at least a week after your treatment, and ideally you always should when exposed to the sun.
  • Is there recovery time or downtime?
You could attend a big event the next day, but immediately following the treatment you may be a touch pink and and should avoid applying make-up to that beautiful, fresh skin for 24 hours or as long as you can hold off. You may find you don't need as much, anyway!
  • How many do I need?
One treatment will make you glowy, soft and even-toned all week. Your products will absorb better and make-up will go on smoothly. 4 to 12 treatments are recommended (2-4 weeks apart) to see notable improvement with lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, smoothness and brightness. Then, maintain those results with another every few months. Appropriate skincare at home expedites and maintains your results. Express PTR Facials can help you reach your goals with a smaller investment.

The Elleebana Lash Lift

The Elleebana Lash Lift is a semi-permanent treatment that gives your lashes an illusion of perfectly curled lashes and added definition. It's a great alternative to eyelash extensions, as it requires very little maintenance and has long-lasting, results. Tinting intensifies the effect.
